GoT in a corporate world

GoT in a corporate world

If Game of Thrones took over the corporate world, what would it look like?

DesignCrowd’s latest contest could answer just that. Inviting designers to put a medieval spin on some of their favourite logos saw 175,000 designers strap their thinking caps on.

Many well-known brands such as Google, Facebook, McDonald’s, Ikea and Microsoft all saw their brands touched-up with a Game of Thrones spin.

“Season four of Game of Thrones has kicked off, and we want to celebrate with a photoshop graphic design contest!” DesignCrowd said in its contest brief.

“We want you to turn company logos into Game of Thrones ‘house banners’ – think Goldman Sachs as the Lannister's, Exxon Mobil as the Dothraki or Google as Highgarden.”

Fourty-seven entries were received by the May 7 deadline.

The winning redesign was that of Google’s (below), with the photoshop design by Rijan.

B&T is currently awaiting comment from the companies on the designs.

Of the 175,000 designers who took part, none of them had an affiliation with the brands, B&T was told.

Below are some of the other designs, or check out all the entries.
