Blink-182 Drummer & Water Brand Liquid Death Launch $275 Enema Kit & It’s Already Sold Out!

As is well documented here on B&T, American canned water brand Liquid Death is known for its pretty out there marketing stunts.

The latest to hit the headlines is a collab with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and, as you do, features an enema kit using the brands water.

What? You may well ask!

Back in 1999, Blink-182 unveiled its now legendary album “Enema of the State” which shot the band to global stardom and has since sold over 15 million copies.

Barker, 47, has now become an offical Liquid Death brand ambassador and the two have paid homage to the legendary album with a tongue-in-cheek enema kit retailing for $US182 (get it?). The kit includes a branded enema bulb and a 600ml can of water signed by the musician and punk rock furniture designer

Stranger still, the kit immediately sold out on release!

Barker has even fronted a campaign for the launch.

Liquid Death (and its lawyers) duly point out that the limited-edition collection is an “adult art piece and not intended for use as a real medical device. Enema of the State should never be placed in or near your butthole without consulting a doctor first. Also, you should not place it in or near your friend’s butthole without consulting them or their doctor first either”.

Explaining the marketing stunt and collab with Barker, Liquid Death’s brand VP of creative Andy Pearson, put it simply: “Enemas need water. We make water. The math seemed pretty simple. Why haven’t more brands embraced creating their own enema kits? Truly baffling to us.”
