Monday TV Wrap: Have You Been Paying Attention? Makes Its Return

10’s quiz show Have You Been Paying Attention? premiered its ninth season on Monday night to a nice 732,000 viewers.

The ep, hosted as always by comedian Tom Gleisner, featured a battle of wits between comedian Sam Pang and Mortal Kombat star Josh Lawson.

Despite a solid season opening, the show didn’t quite clinch enough viewers to secure a spot as best-performing entertainment of the night. That accolade went to Lego Masters which had, according to OzTAM’s metro data, 796,000 viewers.

Top of the charts was Seven News with 1,042,000 viewers while Nine News had 1,033,000. In fourth, sandwiched between Lego Masters and Have You Been Paying Attention ? was A Current Affair with 769,000 viewers.

Then came the ABC with ABC News at 699,000 viewers and 7.30 with 618,000 while Seven’s Home and Away nabbed 617,000.

After that was 10’s MasterChef with 607,000 viewers, again increasing its viewership from the same time slot last week.

Also on 10 was The Project at 511,000 viewers while 10 News First had 364,000.

For the ABC, Australian Story nabbed 563,000 viewers while Media Watch and Four Corners had 399,000 and 386,000 respectively.

Seven’s Big Brother had 552,000 viewers, tying it with The Chase while the rest of Nine’s night saw Hot Seat secure 518,000 viewers.

Nine (all channels) narrowly beat Seven to win the daily share. It had 26 per cent, while Seven (all channels) had 25 per cent.

In third was Network 10 with 23 per cent, followed by the ABC Network with 16 per cent and the SBS Network with seven per cent.
