Sunday TV Wrap: Numbers Down Across The Board In A Slow Sunday

None of Sunday’s programming cracked the 900,000 viewer mark, though Married At First Sight was closest with 898,000 viewers, the third-best night for the series so far.

After MAFS was Seven News Sunday with 862,000 viewers and Nine News Sunday with 847,000 viewers. ABC News Sunday snuck in fourth with 689,000 viewers.

Nine’s night was news and MAFS focused, with 60 Minutes peaking at 664,000 followed by Nine News: Late Edition at 435,000 viewers.

The ABC had a packed night of programming, which saw Grand Designs New Zealand (pictured) coming in as the sixth most-watched telly at 509,000 viewers, in an episode featuring a suspended glass house. It just beat drama series Harrow, which had 467,000, while Silent Witness had 310,000 viewers and Insiders had 274,000.

Channel Seven managed to squeeze seven shows into the top twenty most-watched. Holey Moley had 426,000 viewers, a decrease of 80,000 viewers from the same time-slot last week.

The Supercars Championship had 290,000 viewers, while a later rerun of the same show had 210,000. Seven News At 5 had 235,000 viewers, Tom Hardy flick Venom had 205,000 and Weekend Sunrise had 200, 000.

For 10, The Amazing Race was down to 464,000 viewers, exactly 100,000 less than last week. The Sunday Project had 390,000 while 10 News First Sunday had 257,000.

The Nine Network won overall with thirty-five per cent of the dailyshare, followed by the Seven Network with twenty-one per cent. ABC (all channels) followed with eighteen per cent, just beating 10 (all channels) which had seventeen per cent. SBS had just under seven per cent.
