Is This The Grossest, Most Disgusting And The Funniest Christmas Ad Ever?

UK paper towel brand Plenty has dispensed with the usual Christmas advertising schtick that features a rosy Santa and happy family and have, instead, ratcheted up the grossness to a 10/10.

The hilarious spot, the work of London agency AMV BBDO, instead goes for a series of vomit, blood and toilet gags and climaxes with a grandmother pulling tinsel from a cat’s rectum. You have been warned.

With a backing tune of Nazareth’s Love Hurts, the clever spot shows how messy a family Christmas can be and how Plenty paper towels can come to the rescue.

Commenting on the craziness, AMV BBDO deputy executive creative director Toby Allen told industry site Muse: “Some people see the ad as a metaphor for the 2020 shitshow, but most see it as a much-needed escape from it all.”
