Shopper Finds “Face Of Jesus” In Pack Of ALDI Potatoes

A Scottish woman has had a religious epiphany at her local ALDI store after apparently spotting the face of Jesus in a packet of potatoes.

Nikki Halkerston, 44, was shopping for dinner at her local ALDI in the town of Dundee when she happened upon the bag of spuds retailing for £1.15 ($A2.10).

Once home and on closer inspection of the pack, Halkerston discovered what appears to be the Son of God staring back at her from the potato’s skin.

Halkerston (pictured above) explained: “As soon as I put the packet on the kitchen top I saw it.

“I was staring at it and it was just quite obvious it was Jesus’ face.

“I’ve seen stories before about people finding Jesus in their food but I can never usually see it. This was just so obviously him,” she said.

Yet, rather than alert her local priest, the Vatican or even an excorcist over the devine root crop vegetable, Halkerston admitted that hunger got the better of her and she’d since eaten her Jesus spud.

For its part, ALDI has not commented on apparent religious icons amongst its fruit and veg section.

For B&T’s part, rather than Jesus, the spud actually looks a lot like rugby league legend and Parramatta Eels great, Ray Price. But that’s just us…
