Tuesday TV Wrap: Tiger King Doco Proves The Purr-Fect Bite For Seven

10’s MasterChef (999,000 viewers) fell agonisingly short of the million-mark last night but it still got to brag it was the most-watched entertainment show of the evening.

However, Seven won the night namely thanks to its doco Tiger King: What Really Went Down? that attracted 498,000 viewers according to OzTam metro numbers.

Seven won the night with 27.4 per cent of all of the evening’s eyeballs (all channels). Nine was second (24.2 per cent), 10 had to settle for third (22.9 per cent), the ABC did 16.2 per cent and SBS nabbed 9.2 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news bulletin also boasted healthy numbers – pulling in 1.232 million viewers as the most-watched show of the night.

Nine’s news did 1.115 million and ACA followed it up with 771,000. Hot Seat was the network’s only other notable, posting 624,000.

Other standouts for Seven included The Chase (692,000) and Home And Away (689,000).

MasterChef aside, 10’s other doers included The Project (636,000), 10 News First (449,000) and How To Stay Married (439,000).

The ABC’s evening ran thus: 7pm news (861,000), 7.30 (645,000), Foreign Correspondent (445,000) and Catalyst (355,000).
