Doggo Lovers Rejoice! Coles Set To Launch Self-Serve Doggy Treat Bar In-Store

Coles is set to launch a self-serve doggy treat bar across its national stores in an Australian supermarket first.

The new service was launched at Coles Local in Melbourne’s Hawthorn last week and is set to roll out across the country in the next few months.

Dog mums and dads can pick up their choice of a range of ‘pick-n-mix’ dog snacks, such as chicken bites, bones and kangaroo tails.

The self-serve section is part of a new-look pet aisle coming to Coles, with more than 60 new pet foods available for consumers to purchase.

Coles has also launched Coles Pet Insurance in partnership with Guild Insurance.

Coles CMO Lisa Ronson said: “We want to help Australians lead healthier and happier lives, and the same goes for their fur babies who are a huge part of the family and have never been more important in keeping us company and enriching our lives than they are right now.”

The service was first launched at Coles Local in the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn last week.

“Australians told us their main concerns with pet insurance were the size of their vet bill and unexpected costs that their insurance didn’t cover.

“So Coles Pet Insurance pays approved scheduled treatments directly to the vet, with customers only required to pay for the excess.

“This is a rare benefit for customers, and we’re delighted to be able to provide this along with other features to offer great value for our customers.”
