oOh!Media And NGA Take Over Macquarie Centre

North Ryde’s Macquarie Centre was taken over with works of art by Australian women artists as part of the country’s largest art event.

The event was launched late last month by oOh!media and the National Gallery of Australia.

At midday today, more than 49 oOh! assets across the shopping centre were transformed into art exhibits for just two hours, displaying a selection of works by 45 women-identifying artists as part of the 6-week Know My Name national art event.

The Know My Name initiative seeks to support and champion some of Australia’s best female artists by bringing their works into the lives of everyday Australians.

Award-winning artist Virginia Cuppaidge attended Macquarie Centre for a meet and greet from 1pm on Level 2, near Calvin Klein, while shoppers enjoyed the artworks in various locations around the centre.
