Aussie Website Selling ScoMo Hawaiian Shirts Crashes After Consumers Go Gaga For The Item

An Australian website selling Hawaiian shirts featuring Scott Morrison’s face has crashed after consumers went unsurprisingly gaga for the product.

Melbourne-based menswear brand Mr. Koya designed the shirts following the widespread criticism the prime minister received for taking a holiday to the Polynesian Islands while bushfires rage across the country he leads.

Mr. Koya released the “Mahalo Scomo” shirt featuring Scott Morrison’s face all over it, with all proceeds going towards Australian firefighters.

The shirt is selling for $70.00.

Mr. Koya wrote on his Instagram page: “Australia is reeling from an unprecedented bushfire emergency, and to rub basalt into the wound, the Prime Minister has smirk-bombed his way to Hawaii for a refreshing mai tai.

“To mark this momentous abrogation of responsibility, MR. KOYA has created the Mahalo ScoMo – an enduring combination of Hawaiian vibes, bodacious leadership vacuums, and the colours of an increasingly-combustible Australian summer.”

Mr. Koya told Business Insider Australia he received an “overwhelming response” to the shirt, so much so that the website crashed.

The shirts have also gained the attention of consumers in London, California, New York and Japan.

You can only pre-order the shirts at this stage, with the product becoming available in early 2020.
