“It Destroyed Me!” Seven In Strife After MKR Contestants Filmed In Sex Act

Seven has landed itself in hot water after two contestants have come forward and said they were filmed being sexually intimate without their consent on the upcoming season of My Kitchen Rules.

As first reported on BuzzFeed News, the footage was then shared amongst Channel Seven staff. The footage, which was taken in mid-2019 for next years’ show, features a male contestant consensually digitally penetrating one of the female contestants on a couch.

The newest season of MKR sees contestants split into two teams and living together in separate houses. The footage was taken in one of the houses early in the morning.

One of the contestants who was filmed told BuzzFeed News: “I had no idea [the cameraman] was there until we spotted him.

“We caught him and then he swore he deleted the footage and obviously didn’t.”

The contestant said their contract stipulated everywhere in the house bar the bedroom could be a “potential” filming location but asserts it was “cheeky” of the cameraman to film them on a couch in the early morning.

The contestant said: “It destroyed me for months afterwards.

“Since when has something like this been any sort of priority or even on the topic [for a cooking show]?”

The footage was also allegedly shown around Seven’s studios in Eveleigh, Sydney. However, it’s been reported the footage has since been deleted from the system.

It’s also been alleged that the filming was not taken by a stationary “house camera” due to the camera angle and poor quality of the film.

B&T contacted Seven for comment but did not receive a response at the time of publishing the story.
