Thursday TV Wrap: Kyrgios’ Loss Proves A Winner For Seven

Aussie tennis’ “bad boy” Nick Kyrgios may have lost his grudge match against Rafael Nadal last night, but it got Seven some nice numbers with 311,000 viewers tuning in according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Seven convincingly won the night with 35.2 per cent of the eyeballs (all channels). Nine had 24.8 per cent, 10 did 17.8 per cent, the ABC enjoyed 15.1 per cent and SBS pulled a neat seven.

Other highlights for Seven were its 6pm news (1.025 million), The Chase (633,000) and The Front Bar (388,000).

Over at 10, MasterChef ruled with 606,000, followed by The Project (433,000) and 10 News First (417,000).

Nine’s 6pm news (884,000) was its best performer, followed by ACA (658,000), Hot Seat (542,000) and its NRL coverage of the Dragons-Storm game (285,000).

The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (647,000), 7.30 (537,000), Escape From The City (410,000) and Sammy J (294,000).
