Every GoT Episode In 83 Second Mash-Up Commemorates Series End, As Finale Draws Record Viewers
Don’t have time to watch every episode of the Game of Thrones series? There’s good news for you today. An unsung hero has mashed together every single Thrones episode into an 83-second video to commemorate the end of the hit HBO series.
The mashup was shared by Twitter user Andy Kelly yesterday after the fantasy drama’s finale, which drew 19.3 million US viewers, aired.
In Australia, the final episode smashed records for struggling Foxtel, with the episode delivering an overnight linear audience across all airings of 1.076 million viewers, the largest overnight audience in subscription TV history.

The video has earned nearly four million views.
Game of Thrones finished for good on Sunday, 19 May (US), eight years after the show made its debut.
The final episode of the show’s eighth and last season not only broke the record for the show but was likewise a new record for HBO as it became the most watched show of all time.
Around 13.6 million viewers tuned in to watch the show live, but all up, the latest numbers show 19.3m viewers tuned in to watch the finale, making it the most watched episode in the series.
These numbers won’t surprise anyone, as Thrones finale episodes have consistently broken overall viewership records since season five, but setting a new record HBO is new even for GoT.
Americans aren’t the only ones who can’t get enough of Thrones.
Instagram in Australia has been buzzing with GoT talk since season eight aired on April 15.
On Instagram, Sydney and Melbourne were the top cities talking all things Thrones, while the top hashtags were #jonsnow and #gameofthronesmemes. Women dominated the space, with 64 per cent of females posting about GoT.
Looking at the global picture, on Twitter in 2019 alone, there have been 100 million tweets about Thrones. Episode three The Long Night was the most talked about episode, followed by the finale episode, The Iron Throne.
