Tuesday TV Wrap: MKR Holding Strong, Leaves 10’s Bachie In The Dust

It appears Network 10’s reality show Bachelor in Paradise is no match for Seven who is continuing its winning streak this week, with its hit reality series MKR holding strong.

Bachelor in Paradise debuted modest numbers (556,000) when it premiered last Tuesday and as it stands, isn’t showing any signs of improvement. Admittedly, it is still early days for the show. And historically, Bachelor in Paradise fairs much better on BVOD.

The reality show pulled 526,000 views last night according to overnight OzTAM metro data, while Seven’s MKR managed a tidy 829,000 views.

Seven’s 6pm news and Today Tonight continues to do well for themselves, pulling in 1.07 and 1.03 million views last night.

All this meant Seven won Tuesday by a whisker with 29.9 per cent audience share. Nine took 26.4 per cent, 10 had 18.3 per cent, the ABC had 16.6 per cent and SBS 8.8 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news was the most watched show of the night, with other highlights for the network including Home And Away (677,000), The Chase (547,000) and Sunrise (310,000).

Nine’s night ran thus: 6pm news (918,000), ACA (696,000), The Big Bang Theory (544,000), Hot Seat (497,000), and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (326,000).

Meanwhile, the ABC’s Tuesday ran this way: 7pm news (714,000), 7.30 (558,000) and The Recording Studio (338,000).
