Over the weekend the cult goth rockers were inducted into the prestigious Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
Post the award, all the band’s members from the past 40 years, lead amiably by lead curmudgeon, Robert Smith, assembled on the red carpet for the mandatory TV interviews.
A typically disinterested Smith was met by a young, bubbly and effervescent TV reporter who enquired: “Are you as excited as I am?”
