OMD’s Heather Lawson Joins Initiative Perth As Group Account Director

Initiative Perth has announced the appointment of Heather Lawson as group account director.

Lawson (pictured above) has had extensive career that included running her own business, media owner sales, and media agency client and strategy leadership.

She was most recently a senior account manager at OMD Western Australia, with senior responsibilities in strategy development, client management, media planning/buying, trading, research, analysis, and reporting. Lawson’s clients included HBF, Lotterywest, Tourism of WA, and St Ives.

She previously ran her own boutique production agency and, prior to that, worked as a media planner and buyer for Mitchell & Partners. She also worked for Network Ten for three-and-a-half years.

At Initiative Perth, Lawson will be a member of the agency’s senior management team and will lead the integrated RAC account, focusing on media strategy and planning as well as leading several other key client teams within the agency.

Luke O’Sullivan (pictured above), head of Initiative Perth, said Lawson was a well-known and highly respected professional.

“In our search for this position, it was important that we found a market-leading media practitioner who would also be a good cultural fit for our agency,” he said.

“Heather emerged as the ideal candidate.”
