MAFS Producers Respond To Manipulation Claims, As Another Contestant Is Accused Of Being Paid Actor
The producers of Nine’s Married at First Sight have hit back at claims it “forced” one of its contestants to say certain things to make the dating show more interesting.
Dean Wells took to Instagram after Tuesday night’s episode to accuse MAFS producers of manipulating him into asking fellow contestants inappropriate questions because it was “too boring”.
However, an Endemol Shine spokesperson told B&T that “no contributor on any of our programs is forced to say or do anything”.
In adding to the controversy surrounding the show, footage of another MAFS contestant appearing on another Aussie reality TV show has caused quite a stir.
Nassar Sultan (pictured above) featured on season one of Pawn Stars Australia, where he looks to get a good deal for his slot car collection, or his “wife” will kill him.
“It’s sad to see them go, but the money we make will go to the kids’ education,” Sultan says about selling his prized toy cars.
However, on MAFS, Sultan has said he has never married or had children, which has sent the speculation wheel spinning around whether or not he’s a paid actor.
Sultan isn’t the only contestant to have been accused of being a paid actor, with the authenticity of Wells, his wife Tracey Jewel and recently-departed villain Davina Rankin all questioned.
