Aussie Real Estate Agent Sings Oasis’ ‘Wonderwall’ In Godawful Video Ad To Sell Home
An Aussie real estate agent’s advertising efforts have gone viral this week, but not for the right reasons.
LJ Hooker’s Ben Lewis wanted the video for his latest real estate listing in the small Canberra suburb of Ngunnawal to stand out, and made the brave move of playing a ukulele and singing a terrible rendition of Oasis hit Wonderwall.
Unsurprisingly, the video has been dubbed “Australia’s most cringe worthy real estate listing”. However, with the coverage the ad has received through the mainstream media, it could well prove a masterstroke for Lewis.
Speaking to realestate.com.au, Lewis said he knew his video was ballsy, but noted that there had been huge interest in the property since it was uploaded online.
“I’m pretty new to real estate,” he said. “And I’ve always been a bit different.
“Everyone’s doing the same thing all the time, the same marketing, and I’m pretty competitive and happy to give anything a go.
“The vendor’s pretty easy going, and he said he was happy with the idea.”
The house goes to auction on Tuesday 12 December.
