Student Opens Results Live On TV And It Doesn’t Go Well From There…!

British lad Liam Scroogie desperately wanted to study politics at Queen’s University in Northern Ireland once he finished high school.

So a TV report of young Liam opening his A-level results (the UK’s entry into higher education) live to air seemed like a fantastic idea for some emotive journalism on the breakfast TV show Good Morning Britain.

Young Scroogie needed ‘As’ and ‘Bs’ to get into his favoured course, so the report took a sinister turn when he opened the envelope to reveal he’d in fact got ‘Ds’. Check out the car crash below:

The reporter then asks Scroogie what he’ll do next, to which he valiantly replies: “I don’t know yet but when this is finished I’ll have a look. At the end of the day you win or lose you’re on the booze. We’ll find out what’s going on and then just see what happens.”

However, he did manage to find some genuine sympathy on social media:
