Bauer Exodus Continues As Women’s Weekly Publisher Heads For The Exits

Bauer Media has announced that Matt Dominello, publisher of The Australian Women’s Weekly, Woman’s Day, Yours and Good Health, has resigned in order to pursue his interests outside of publishing.

Dominello is the second big name exit from the embattled publisher following Marina Go’s departure last FridayDominello, who joined Bauer Media 18 months ago, will remain in post until December in order to manage a handover.

He said: “It’s been a privilege to work on some of the country’s biggest media brands and help play a part in driving their continued growth. I have wanted to focus on my own business which is not connected to publishing for a while, and the time is right to do that. I thank all the people I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the past year and a half and wish them all the very best.”

Nick Chan, CEO of Bauer Media added: “Matt has done a great job in managing key titles in the Bauer portfolio and while we are sorry to lose him I understand his desire to concentrate on building his own business. I thank him and wish him every success for the future.”

An announcement on his replacement will be made in due course.
