Rumour Mill Suggests Two Mag CEOs Could Be Making The Move To Newspapers

Rumours are flying that NewsLifeMedia CEO Nicole Sheffield could be on the move, with speculations of a new role at News Corp on the cards.

According to reports from The Australian, Sheffield has been on the lookout for a fresh challenge for some time, and after almost five years at the helm of NewsLifeMedia, the time could be right for her to make the switch.

It comes as News Corp shuffled its ad sales by merging magazines and metro newspapers into one unit, with chief commercial officer Sharb Farjami overseeing the block.

The Oz also made predictions that Pacific Magazines CEO Peter Zavecz could be looking to a new job in the News Corp headquarters, hinting at a move to News Corp’s Melbourne offices for a role outside the magazine realm.

Making the switch to News in Melbourne would mean Zavecz would get to ditch the commute to Sydney, returning to work in his home town of Melbourne.

Pacific Magazines declined to comment to B&T about the speculations, while there was no word from NewsLifeMedia at the time of publishing.
