Brisbane based out-of-home provider, goa will further look to elevate its charity and community partnerships program.

This will see the family owned organisation donate over $1,000,000 of media value to community groups and charities across the calendar year.

goa’s joint managing director, Chris Tyquin, has said that a community focus has always been a priority for the organisation and that this will continue in 2016.

“Being a family owned business, our long held belief has been that we each have an obligation to make the world a better place, starting in our very own community,” Tyquin said.

“goa’s profits are not necessarily just to provide shareholders with the freedom to do what they want to do, but what they should do.

“We will continue to use the flexibility afforded to us by our digital technology to support a number of community groups, arts organisations and charities, building relationships within the Brisbane community that we truly treasure.”

Amongst dozens of support campaigns including Live Below the Line, Cancer Council Queensland and Queensland Music Festival, in 2015 goa committed to three major partnerships:

  • VINNIES CEO SLEEPOUT – goa was Vinnies’ major partner in Queensland, delivering $71,500 in media support and reaching an audience of 650,000 people. goa also donated $25,500 cash toward the cause.
  • MUSEUM OF BRISBANE – As principal sponsor, goa delivered $307,500 in media to Museum of Brisbane and reached an audience of 1.3 million people.
  • BRISBANE FESTIVAL – As major sponsor of Brisbane’s premier celebration of the arts, the Brisbane Festival, goa delivered $485,000 in media this year, as well as reaching an audience of over 1.6 million people.
