Australian loyalty program, Flybuys, has today announced its appointment of Chris Scudder as new sales director of its data division, Unpacked by Flybuys.

Scudder boasts over fifteen years’ digital media and publishing experience across APAC and EMEA, as well as a strong history in growing and managing successful teams that establish sales with agencies and brands direct.

His diverse background brings extensive knowledge across performance, AI and data-driven marketing, in addition to deep programmatic and SaaS expertise.

Scudder jumps ship from Skai (formerly Kenshoo) where he led the sales function across Australia and APAC. Prior to this, he played a pivotal role in opening and leading the Quantcast business in Asia.

“Chris is well placed to continue the work that Alex Hunt has contributed over the past 18 months, and we look forward to his commencement in leading our brilliant Unpacked by Flybuys go-to-market team to drive an exciting sales trajectory and build momentum for the data division,” said Flybuys chief product officer, Harley Giles

Scudder was equally enthusiastic about joining an “iconic Australian brand with a deep retail history”.

“The data-led opportunities we can provide for clients is truly unique in this market and this next growth phase is truly exciting for everyone involved,” he said.

“I am thrilled to be part of the next chapter in the Unpacked by Flybuys story, building on existing partnerships and helping grow new ones. There has never been a more exciting time in this vertical.

“Covid has certainly disrupted the media landscape and there has never been more appetite to understand consumer behaviour and target consumers with accuracy and at scale.

“With industry leading insights into purchase behaviour, Flybuys’ digital audiences provide marketers highly customised consumer insights – audience activation linked to both online and offline sales attribution – and customer acquisition to grow market share.

“This product offering positions Unpacked by Flybuys strongly in this rapidly growing market.”
