Thursday TV Wrap: Sunrise Continues To Dominate Brekky Wars

In a breakfast TV war update, Sunrise continues to lead the charge, with Today struggling to match its pace.

At one point it appeared Today was closing the gap on Sunrise, but the last few weeks of TV ratings have shown Sunrise is the clear winner at this point.

On Thursday morning, 308,000 viewers tuned in to Sunrise, while 209,000 tuned into Today, according to OzTAM metro numbers.

Meanwhile, in entertainment for the night, MasterChef did well once again with 942,000 views, over at Nine, Hot Seat was the entertainment of choice (556,000), while 676,000 viewers tuned in to watch The Chase on Seven. Over at the ABC, 407,000 tuned in to watch Sammy J.

In primary channel, Seven won with 18.2 per cent, 10 did 17.7 per cent and Nine did 16.8 per cent. ABC and SBS did 10.0 per cent and 6.1 per cent respectively.

Here’s how the rest of the night ran:

The Project did 614,000 and 10 News First did 446,000.

Seven

News did 1.18m, Home & Away did 562,000, and a screening of The Other Woman did 348,000.

Nine

News did 1.07m, ACA did 713,000 and RBT did 454,000.

ABC

News did 834,000 and 7.30 did 576,000.

All channel share 

Nine pulled a decent 25.8 per cent, Seven closely followed with 25.5 per cent and 10 earned 24.6 per cent, while ABC and SBS did 14.5 per cent and 9.7 per cent respectively.
