Tuesday TV Wrap: MasterChef Cooks ‘Em, As Nine’s Buying Blind Looks A Little Myopic

Ten’s MasterChef won bragging rights on Tuesday’s night of TV, pulling 886,000 for its seemingly uninviting “Vegemite challenge”.

Meanwhile, over at Nine its new home buying show Buying Blind is struggling to find its feet, managing only 554,000 last night and dipping from its 608,000 debut from a week ago.

Seven won the night with 28.6 per cent audience share, then Nine 25.5 per cent, Ten had 21.8 per cent, the ABC 16.9 per cent and SBS 7.2 per cent.

Seven’s 6pm news bulletin was the most watched show of the night with 1.13 million, while House Rules had 713,00 for the network. Andrew Denton’s Interview just can’t break the 500,000-mark, pulling 477,000.

Nine’s news pulled 1.01 million and A Current Affair had 782,000.

MasterChef aside, Shark Tank did reasonably well for Ten, managing 614,000, while The Project boasted 580,000.

Over at the ABC, its 7pm news bulletin was its best performer with 691,000. Back In Time For Dinner had 572,000 and 7.30 had an off night with 484,000 (considering the huge interest in yesterday’s Trump-Jong Un summit.) While few people are bothering with Making Child Prodigies that managed only 339,000.

SBS’ best was a repeat of Who Do You Think You Are? which pulled 326,000.
