music video network, Vevo has announced that it has partnered with Foxtel Group to launch its app on Foxtel set-top boxes.
The Vevo app offers nearly two million Foxtel customers access to hundreds of thousands of high-quality music videos, including official releases, live performances, and originally produced content by Vevo, on-demand in an ad-supported environment.
With search, like, and skip functions, the app also provides an interactive viewing experience, curated to a particular theme, mood, or event.
Steve Sos, managing director, Australia & New Zealand, Vevo, said: “Our partnership with Foxtel continues our wider strategy to grow both our CTV ad inventory and audience in Australia, so we are very excited to launch on the top subscription TV platform in the country.
“Vevo reaches more than 40 per cent of the Australian population already, and this partnership allows us to continue delivering our catalogue to even more Australians in a personalized and viewer-centric way.”
Amanda Laing, chief content and commercial officer, Foxtel Group, said: “We are excited to be bringing the world’s leading music video network to our customers with the launch of Vevo on Foxtel. Music content and programming continues to be hugely popular with Australian audiences, and now our subscribers will be able to easily access even more of this fantastic content thanks to Vevo.
“Vevo will join the apps our subscribers already enjoy on Foxtel including Netflix, YouTube, ABC iView and SBS On Demand. With the integration of Vevo, Foxtel can continue to deliver our customers even more of the best global streaming apps, all in one place,”
Foxtel subscribers can download the Vevo app for free on the Foxtel app store. The Vevo app is available on iQ3, iQ4 and Foxtel’s new iQ5 streaming set top boxes.
