The Bachelor was the most watched show of Thursday night and helped Ten take a rare second spot in terms of audience share.
The ‘Honey Bader’ continues to prove a winner for the network, pulling 889,000 viewers and giving the network a healthy 22.9 per cent of last night’s eyeballs.
Seven convincingly won Thursday with a whopping 37.4 per cent share, thanks to the AFL final between Richmond and Hawthorn that pulled 874,000.
Nine was forced to lick its wounds, taking third spot with 19.3 per cent. The ABC had 14.1 per cent and SBS pulled in 6.3 per cent.
But it wasn’t all bad news for Nine, its 6pm news bulletin (892,000) got one up on rival Seven’s (881,000).
Other highlights for Seven was The Chase with 506,000 and the AFL pre-match that pulled 450,000.
Googlebox continues to do the business for Ten, it pulled 774,000. The Project (447,000) and Eyewitness News (396,000) the network’s other standouts.
News aside, Nine’s highlights included ACA (650,000), Hot Seat (483,000), Driving Test (394,000) and RBT (352,000).
Interesting, all of ABC’s shows were markedly down on usual, suggesting a lot of its viewers had switched over to the footy finals on Seven. Its night ran thus: 7pm news (612,000), 7.30 (464,000), Grand Designs (474,000), Loch Ness (334,000) and Sammy J (242,000).
For SBS, its best was a repeat of Tony Robinson’s Down Under that pulled an unpatriotic 220,000.
