Samatha Armytage Shares Her Drunk At Work Fiasco While Interviewing Karl Stefanovic

Former Sunrise host Samantha Armytage has admitted that she has pulled a ‘Karl Stefanovic’ and has been drunk while on air.

The former morning show golden girl interviewed Karl Stefanovic on her podcast, Something To Talk About With Samatha Armytage.

It was a pretty interesting chat, considering Stefanovic and Armytage used to be breakfast show rivals. But what was most exciting is that Armytage unveiled that she has also had a few too many glasses of alcohol and then appeared on air.

Stefanovic hosting the morning show while still clearly drunk after the 2009 Logies is iconic. But, also sort of fits with Stefanobvic’s lovable larrikin reputation. In comparison, Armytage is seen as more inspirational than relatable. So it was pretty interesting that Armytage revealed she’d also been guilty of the same crime.

See? It can happen to anyone.

Armytage said: “I mean, hello, we’ve all been on-air drunk!”

Armytage then explained that she’d once been out for an assumedly boozy lunch and then had to do a live cross from outside Buckingham Palace.

However, Armytage’s tipsy status wasn’t noticed by the media,  “I was sneaky, I didn’t get written up in the papers: nobody knew!” She added.

Of course, Stefanovic”s boozy moment wasn’t so lucky, but you can’t win them all.
