Outdoor media company, oOh!media has today announced its appointment of dentsu head of out of home (OOH), Emma Hegg.

Hegg (featured image) will join oOh!media in the newly created role of group director of platforms, having previously spent more than five years at dentsu.

With dentsu, Hegg managed a team of specialist OOH planners, leading commercial relationships, building innovative products that leveraged technology and data, as well as sitting on the Outdoor Futures Council.

It should be noted Hegg also worked at oOh! for more than seven years prior to dentsu.

Hegg will now strengthen oOh!’s product strategy team with responsibility for creating business models which align with agency data strategies.

She will also leverage her experience to connect agency and client segments as the OOH company continues to implement its audience led strategy into client focused platforms as part of the ongoing transformation to a digitally enabled media company.

Furthermore, Hegg will drive oOh!’s programmatic strategy.

“Emma is one of the most experienced out of home operators in media with a strong track record of driving business and client value across both agency and out of home,” said oOh!’s chief commercial and product officer, Robbie Dery, who Hegg will now report to.

“We continue to attract the smartest industry practitioners at a time when our industry is returning to growth and undergoing significant change and I’m delighted that someone with Emma’s knowledge and expertise has returned to oOh!”

Hegg said she was looking forward to joining oOh!’s “amazing and ambitious” team and working toward a collective goal of sector growth.

“From starting my career at Network Outdoor (now oOh!media) many years ago, it feels I’ve done a full circle to be coming back to oOh!,” she added.

“The business has grown and changed so much; but still has the ambition to be even better. I can’t wait to join Robbie and the team to support the continued transformation of out of home within a business I admire so much.”

As part of oOh!’s product strategy team, Hegg will work closely alongside some of the industry’s leading and award-winning talent, including Bel Harper and Tara Coverdale.

Dery added, “As the business continues to grow, we will continue to bring the best people to oOh!, supporting our ambitious plans as Australia’s leading out of home media company.”
