BMW Australia Announces Chef Peter Gilmore As New Brand Ambassador

One of Australia’s most awarded chefs, Peter Gilmore, joins the exclusive group of ambassadors linked to luxury automotive marque BMW in Australia.

Gilmore is renowned for his innovative and unique approach to the culinary experience and explores his appreciation for premium local produce as executive chef of Quay Restaurant and the newly opened Bennelong at The Sydney Opera House.

BMW’s relationship with Gilmore extends the Group’s cultural engagement which includes existing partnerships with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Queensland Ballet.

BMW Group Australia CEO Marc Werner is delighted to announce Gilmore as a BMW ambassador noting the brand’s shared values with its newest representative.

“This relationship with Peter drives home BMW’s passion for innovation and cutting-edge design and technology,” said Werner. “We are so pleased to welcome Peter to the BMW Family and look forward to working with him on exclusive events, particularly those linked to the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Bennelong at The Sydney Opera House.”

A long-time BMW enthusiast, Gilmore is thrilled to represent BMW in Australia. “I have never enjoyed driving a car as much as I do my BMW 435i, I love the way it hugs the road and wants to be driven,” said Gilmore. “I spend a fair bit of time travelling between home, work and to see suppliers and producers and to have a car that is comfortable and so responsive makes it a pleasure.”

“I feel very proud to be an ambassador with BMW, my focus is about quality and craftsmanship, in this BMW excels,” he said.
