Nine creates 'Aussie first' live web newscast

Nine Network is creating what it is claiming to be the first live news program in Australia produced exclusively for the web.

A new #9StreamLIVE will be broadcast on NineMSN exclusively, and will focus on engaging the social media community, and will be hosted by Rob McKnight.

He said: ““We’ll speak to the people making news and go beyond the headline to get the story behind the story.

“While an interview is in progress, we’ll be able to bring up questions posted by viewers on Twitter and Facebook instantaneously and build that into the webcast”.

The first live stream is next Tuesday, January 29, at 7.30pm in NSW/VIC/TAS, 7.00pm in SA, 6.30pm in QLD, 6.00pm in the Northern Territory and 4.30pm in WA.
