Is A Better Internet Possible? Pinterest’s VP of Business Marketing Says It Is
Stacy Malone, Pinterest’s VP of global business marketing, is flying into Cairns all the way from sunny California to prove that a better internet is possible and share her thoughts on how agencies and marketers can lead the way.
In her keynote session “A Better Internet is Possible”, Malone will be bringing her global perspective to Cannes in Cairns. Malone will discuss how we, as an industry, can collectively effect positive change and how, even in our current environment, businesses can do good and grow.
Malone has an impressive career spanning over 20+ years. Before taking the reins at Pinterest, she led business marketing for North America at Meta.
Today, In her role as Pinterest’s VP of Global Business Marketing, Malone sets the long-term vision of how Pinterest reaches and markets to businesses, advertisers and agencies of all sizes globally.
During her time at Meta, Malone built the vertical marketing capability for Facebook in service of driving awareness and product adoption across advertising agencies, partners and 25 industry segments.
Prior to Meta, Malone was the US, chief operating officer of UM Worldwide (UMWW), the largest Media Agency within the IPG network. During her over 10 years at UMWW, Malone served in a variety of capacities ranging from EVP, global managing partner to managing director of the San Francisco office. Under her leadership of the Microsoft Global Media relationship, UMWW received ‘Partner of the Year’ honours from a pool of over 30,000 companies.
Malone has won numerous awards including Media Magazine’s ‘Top Rising Star’ and her work has been short-listed at Cannes as well as won top honours at the Festival of Media. She also currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Business for her alma mater, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and as an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco.
