Val Morgan Digital’s female-focused media brand, Popsugar Australia has launched a new podcast Dinner For Two, hosted by Alyce Tran.
If you’re not familiar with Tran (featured image), nor her success story, here’s the elevator pitch. After leaving her corporate job as a lawyer to launch accessories brand, The Daily Edited around a decade ago, Tran would also walk away from that venture in mid-2021 with invaluable insight on how to build a multi-million dollar business from the ground up.
Tran found a niche, and helped build the brand she co-founded into a $25 million dollar powerhouse. Now it’s time for Tran to share what she learnt, alongside some of the people who helped her along the way.
Dinner For Two, which launches today, will share the story of The Daily Edited over a series of eight episodes, each with its own theme. From how to start a brand, how to market your product, how to launch into physical retail, how to take on investment, how to lead a team and more.
Tran will also sit down with a different guest in each episode where they each share their knowledge and insights, answering the most common questions that come up when you’re either launching a small business, or are a small business owner.
“I’ve loved my entrepreneurial journey so far and I definitely have a point of view and experience on a lot of aspects of consumer goods and business but it is always nice to share these experiences and learn from others to get a more well rounded view on a topic!” Said Tran.
Popsugar Australia’s publisher, Amanda Bardas, added, “The podcast is intended to be insightful and entertaining, and with so many podcasts already existing in this space, we worked hard to ensure the guests appearing throughout the series are truly at the top of their game.”
Guests throughout the series will include Pip Edwards, co-founder and director at P.E Nation, Shelley Barrett, CEO at Model Co, Adrian Norris, CEO & co-founder at Aje, former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Julie Bishop, and founder of Reliquia Collective, Ana Piteira.
Each guest will open up about their experience and offering actionable advice — the type of advice you’d pay good money for.
In this podcast, Tran invites listeners into a conversation about business, to help drive their ambition and success forward.
Dinner For Two launches from today, March 23, with three episodes, while the five remaining episodes will drop weekly. The podcast is available on podcast apps, or from Popsugar’s website.
