OMD hires new strategy group head

Media agency OMD has hired Ikon’s strategy director, Bronwyn Cooper, as strategy group head.

The Sydney-based role will see Cooper (pictured) work alongside former Naked Communications strategist Nick Kavanagh who is also strategy group head.

Cooper said: “I’m very excited to be joining OMD at a time when specialist skills and breadth of resource make a real difference to the business results agencies can deliver to their clients. OMD certainly has both in spades, and I hope that my experience and background will complement their current and future offering.”

Gavin Gibson, OMD’s national head of strategy, added: “Bronwyn is an incredible strategic mind who brings a lot of experience in developing innovative business solutions for clients, and challenging category convention. I couldn’t be happier that she is now a part of the OMD family.”

Her appointment is effective immediately.
