Campaign Palace inducted to AWARD Award Hall of Fame

Whybin\TBWA picked up the Best in Show and Agency of the Year gongs at last night’s AWARD Awards, as the Campaign Palace was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Communications Council-run event.

Five of the main protagonists from the now defunct agency accepted the honour at Sydney Town Hall, the first time an agency has received the award.

Founder Lionel Hunt quipped: “This must be a first, picking up a posthumous award when most of the people are still alive.”

The NRMA Car Creation Campaign was one of the most awarded of the night, picking up one of 12 Gold Pencils for the Digital Campaign, business to consumer category, and a raft of silver and bronzes.

Colenso BBDO won the new Pinstripe Pencil for the most awards per entry, and scooped two Golds for the Pedigree Adoption Drive ‘Donation Glasses’ campaign, with Finch, which created the 37 degree glasses, bagging a gold in the creative innovation category.

Defence Force Australia won Client of the Year, Revolver was named Production Company of the Year, and BBDO was Network of the Year.

Acclaimed Ogilvy and Mather’s Shanghai office scooped four Gold awards, the most of the night.
