Caltex broadens Tongue's remit

EXCLUSIVE:Fuel supplier Caltex has extended the remit of Sydney independent agency Tongue as its digital agency after extending their existing contract.

The agency has been handed a remit to re-examine the brand, which also has a number of convenience stores in its petrol stations to exploit more long-term opportunities, as well as redeveloping the Caltex.com.au site.

Mark Leathan, brand advertising and marketing communications manager, said: “Caltex has a strong and continuing commitment to digital and we’re working with Tongue to develop a framework for identifying and prioritising the ongoing opportunities it presents, as well as executing the business critical programs.”

Tongue also works with BlackBerry, which will be launching a new campaign this year as it launches its make-or-break new operating system and phones.

Tim Sexton, managing partner of Tongue, said: “We’re delighted to be reappointed to work with such an important Australian company at a time when digital in all its forms presents significant challenges and opportunities, and look forward to continuing to help deliver against Caltex’s vision for its business.”
