Bastion Reputation Names Tess Salmon In Corporate Affairs Role

Bastion Reputation has appointed corporate affairs leader Tess Salmon as a principal consultant in its Sydney office to lead its rapidly expanding list of clients in major infrastructure, and industries facing a range of transition challenges, across NSW, Queensland, and the ACT.

Salmon’s appointment accelerates the growth of Bastion Reputation’s Sydney team and further cements the establishment of the business as one of Australia’s leading for-purpose corporate affairs agencies.

Salmon most recently held the position of General Manager – External Affairs and Communication at Western Sydney Airport. Prior to that, she held senior media and communications roles with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, the Office of the NSW Premier, and with the NSW Police Force.

Salmon joins other recent hires across Sydney and Melbourne with Tim Arlett, former Executive Producer at Channel 7 News, and Jake Levin, former Producer at 3AW and Sky News, both joining in senior roles this year.

Bastion Reputation managing director Clare Gleghorn said the firm had experienced significant growth in the past 12 months and was thrilled with the strength and depth of talent in the business.

“Tess is an exceptionally skilled and highly respected corporate affairs specialist who has a proven ability to work alongside senior leaders and executives to help them navigate their toughest of challenges,” Gleghorn said.

“A number of our clients are from industries undergoing significant transition and require trusted, expert advisors to tackle the macro challenges they face.

“Taking on complex and nuanced conversations about tackling climate change, energy transition, transitioning to new delivery models, embracing technology and driving cultural change, all require detailed strategic communications and stakeholder engagement programs that engender trust.”

Tim Artlett joined Bastion Reputation in June from Seven West Media, bringing significant news production and strategy experience to his new role as a senior content and communications strategist sitting across Bastion Reputation and the agency’s emerging digital transformation offering, Bastion Transform.

Jake Levin joined in July as a senior communications strategist and brings corporate affairs agency experience, backed by time as a producer for Sky News and 3AW.
