Multi-disciplinary and award-winning designer Koen Arbouw is joining Bear Meets Eagle On Fire as the creative studio builds on its brand design and brand creation offering.

Arbouw, who is Dutch by birth and wraised in New Zealand, was the most recently the in-house design director across brand and product for contemporary cycling brand Attaquer.

Over his career he also spent time with design companies Landor, Maud and M35, working across various projects for clients including Nike, Google, luxury fragrance brand Escentric Molecules and the AFTRS.

“Koen and I first worked together when he was at Maud years ago,” said Micah Walker, founder of BMEOF.

“We reconnected when I came back to Sydney and have collaborated on a number of Bear projects over the past couple of years. He’s a proper talent and we’re excited he’s decided to join us.”

On joining BMEOF, Arbouw added, “Bear’s such a unique place where design and advertising are both held in the same regard. I think that’s rare to find and I am excited to be a part of everything that comes next.”
