Sunday TV Wrap: Origin Pulls 1.96 Million, But Dips On Game One

Last night’s Origin game – won by NSW in a cakewalk by 38-6 – pulled 1.960 million viewers, according to OzTAM metro numbers.

However, the numbers were down on game one which pulled 2.178 million, equating to a loss of 218,000 viewers.

State Of Origins’ pre and post-match coverage also pulled an additional 1.983 million for Nine.

Seven’s entertainment offering House Rules managed 743,000, while 10’s MasterChef pulled 619,000.

Nine also won the night with 39.6 per cent of Sunday’s eyeballs thanks to the interstate battle. Seven took second place with 26.7 per cent. 10 took third place from ABC with 14.6 per cent to 13.7 per cent, respectively. SBS had 5.4 per cent.

In the battle of the 6pm news, Seven (1.137 million) had bragging rights over Nine (1.020 million). Seven’s Sunday Night reached 422,000, whilst 60 Minutes took a hiatus due to the Origin coverage..

10’s night ran this way: MasterChef (619,000), The Sunday Project (457,000) and 10 News First (286,000).

Over at the ABC, its 7pm news pulled 703,000, Shetland had 507,000, Harrow had 466,000. Landline had 250,000, Insiders had 275,000 and Compass had 220,000.
