Tuesday TV Wrap: ‘Family Food Fight’ In Free Fall, As ‘Ambulance Australia’ Shows Its Resilience

Sure, it’s only two episodes in, but Nine’s Family Food Fight is off to a rather ignominious start after just 359,000 viewers tuned in for last night’s episode according to OzTam metro numbers.

That’s a drop of 52,000 from Monday’s debut and is the cooking show’s worst performance since it launched last year.

Once again, Ten’s Ambulance Australia is proving a surprise hit with viewers. Last night’s episode pulling a respectable 613,000 for the network.

Meanwhile, Seven’s Bride & Prejudice pulled 583,000 last night, a drop of 50,000 from Monday’s launch.

Seven hung on for a Monday night win, pulling 30.4 per cent of the audience share. Nine took home 26.6 per cent and Ten claimed third spot with 18.3 per cent. The ABC had 16.4 per cent and SBS enjoyed 8.3 per cent on the back of Michael Portillo’s Abandon Britain (272,000) and Insight (234,000).

The top six shows last night were all news or current affairs. Seven’s 6pm news bulletin the most watched show of the evening with 895,000.

Seven’s other standouts included The Good Doctor with 629,000, Home And Away with 627,000 and The Chase with 483,000.

Over at Nine, its best was its 6pm news with 851,000, followed by ACA 659,000, The Big Bang Theory with 448,000 and Hot Seat with 416,000.

Ambulance Australia aside, Ten’s best was The Project (446,000), Eyewitness News (339,000) and FBI (335,000).

Over at the ABC, its night ran thus: 7pm news (655,000), 7.30 (537,000), Barrenjoey Road (411,000) and Ask The Doctor (354,000).
