Salesforce Acquires Marketing Intelligence Platform Datorama

CRM and cloud computing giant Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire marketing intelligence platform Datorama.

In an blog post on the company’s website, Datorama co-founder and CEO Ran Sarig said the acquisition will enhance Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud with expanded data integration, intelligence and analytics.

“With one unified view of data and insights, companies can make smarter decisions across the entire customer journey and optimise engagement at scale,” he said.

“For Datorama customers, today’s announcement means more of what you love and have come to expect from Datorama. We will move with greater speed and support. We couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity.

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of Salesforce’s 2019 fiscal year, ending 31 October 2018.
