Socceroos’ Match Pulls Impressive 1.66 Million Viewers For SBS

It may have ended in a draw and a very early morning finish, but last night’s Socceroo’s World Cup game has done the business for SBS.

Some 1.66 million people tuned in to watch the 1-1 draw against Denmark, handing the broadcaster a second-placed 25.2 per cent of last night’s audience share. Enough to beat Nine (19.2 per cent), Ten (16.2 per cent) and the ABC ( 12.7 per cent).

Seven still won the night with 26.7 per cent, thanks to its 6pm news bulletin (931,000), Home And Away (601,000), The Chase (585,000) and the AFL (510,000).

Nine’s best was its news with 904,000, ACA (748,000), RBT (540,000) and Hot Seat (424,000).

Ten did well with MasterChef (796,000) and The Project (515,000). While ex-adlander Todd Sampson’s Body Hack 2.0 was a little disappointing with 430,000.

On ABC it was its 7pm news (657,000), 7:30 (495,000), Grand Designs Australia (464,000), QI (290,000), Think Tank (241,000) and Victoria (165,000).
