Adshel, Yarra Trams & AFL Bring Live Scores For AFL Finals Series

Following the success of last year’s campaign, over the long weekend, Adshel partnered with the AFL for the highly anticipated 2017 AFL Grand Final.

Using the dynamic data capabilities of its digital network, Adshel delivered live scores and stats to travellers and commuters across its Seduce Melbourne network in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.

Using a bespoke live data feed, drawn directly from Champion Data, the out-of-home campaign showed scores in real-time and displayed key match stats – such as marks, handballs and inside 50s – on twelve digital panels in central, high-traffic environments across the Adshel Melbourne network. Reaching the masses of commuters travelling on the Yarra Trams network before, during and after the game, Adshel ensured they didn’t miss out on any of the Grand Final action.

Adshel’s Head of Marketing, Charlotte Valente, said: “Adshel Live provides the flexibility to reach audiences with relevant, real-time messaging. A sporting event of this magnitude presents the perfect opportunity to tap into Adshel Live’s dynamic capabilities and flexibility, to bring the excitement of the Grand Final to commuters – live. Two of Melbourne’s great passions and icons – AFL and the city’s iconic tram network – on the biggest day in Australia’s sporting calendar, with a simple yet effective execution”.

The campaign was live on Saturday 30 September, with the live scores and stats for the AFL Grand Final being displayed from siren to siren (game start to game finish), and the final scores on display after the match.
