Entries Open For the 2017 Australasian Catalogue Association Awards

Entries are now open for the Australasian Catalogue Association’s (ACA) 26th Annual Awards.

The growing Awards program is now trans-Tasman and with over 700 entries and 750 attendees last year, the 2017 Awards are heating up to be fiercely competed with more focus on effective retail marketing and a new category.

“This year we are thrilled to include a new category for the Awards – Direct Mail. With loyalty programs, magalogues being delivered direct to VIP customers and catalogues via subscription the Direct Mail category will appeal to many of our Retail community,” commented Kellie Northwood, CEO, ACA.

From Home to Fashion, Cosmetics and Pharmacy to Recreation and Leisure, B2C to Retailers, Sustainability to Digital and Direct Mail there is a category for your catalogue and letterbox marketing campaign. Annual rivalry between the big retailers continues between Myer and David Jones, Big W and Kmart, Dan Murphy’s, Vintage Cellars, Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Harvey Norman and Freedom while the boutique Retailers stomp their hard earnt territory demonstrating retail marketing strategy and brand positioning is not limited to the big players alone. Each entry is judged based on the merits of effectiveness and campaign success. Judges range from Senior Creatives, Retail Marketers and Industry Stakeholders all bringing together their respective expertise to determine Finalists and ultimate Winners.

To be presented by Libbi Gorr and held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the night of nights for retail marketing will announce the Winners on Friday 25th August in a 5-star event.

“Year after year, the Awards continue to be a celebration of a vibrant and growing industry. Trends emerging throughout the year are recognised by the Judging Team, as are campaigns that deliver strong brand and efficacy results. We always look forward to celebrating with the entire industry on the night and this year in a bigger venue will be very exciting,” concluded Northwood.

The awards night will be held at MCEC on Friday, 25th August 2017, with Australia’s cheekiest personality, Libbi Gorr as Master of Ceremonies.
