Thursday TV Wrap: Bachie Steals A Win Over The Ashes

The Bachelor was the most watched entertainment show of Thursday but was almost beat by the first Day of the last Ashes Test.

The Bachie pulled 797,000 viewers according to OzTam metro numbers, while 755,000 tuned into 9Gem for the first session of the cricket. That fell to 425,000 for the second session and 362,000 for the last.

Once again, the cricket had a flow-on affect, taking viewers from all the primary channels.

Nine won Thursday with 30.6 per cent audience share. Then it went Seven (26 per cent), 10 (23.3 per cent), the ABC (14.5 per cent) and SBS (5.6 per cent).

10 also did well with Gogglebox (628,000), The Project (460,000) and 10 News First (349,000).

Seven’s doers were its 6pm news (909,000), Home And Away (560,000), The Chase (506,000) and The Front Bar (365,000).

Other standouts for Nine were its 6pm news (809,000) and ACA (650,000).

The ABC’s evening ran this way: 7pm news (579,000), 7.30 (514,000) and Escape From The City (434,000).
