Meanwhile, Daily Mail Australia’s extensive coverage of the Australian bushfires delivered the website a 13 per cent month-on-month and 39 per cent year-on-year audience increase.

The result also saw Daily Mail Australia rise to 5th place in the Nielsen top 10, overtaking
legacy digital news brand smh.com.au.

Peter Holder, managing director, Daily Mail Australia, said:  “While we’re well aware of the month-to-month volatity of the news sector, to be up 132 per cent in unique audience from August 2019 is a fantastic result – and proves to advertisers that people are increasingly turning to Daily Mail Australia as a one-stop shop for news, showbiz and lifestyle – and with no paywall!”
