Women.United Video Series: New’s Corp Power Women

Photography by andre&dominqiue

Last week, B&T partnered with News Corp’s With Her In Mind Network (WHIMN) to celebrate International Women’s Day in style at Fred’s in Paddington. Women from the media landscape gathered for a delicious lunch – with a side of inspiration.

News Corp’s Nicole Sheffield announced a brand new WHIMN mentor initiative before the ABC’s Kirstin Ferguson gave a keynote speech that had all the attendees listening eagerly.

In keeping with the theme of mentorship, the lunch saw several attendees hosting their business mentors as a thank you for their assistance over the years. And that’s something B&T can certainly toast.

So during the lunch, we pulled a few of the women aside – some with their mentors or colleagues and some by themselves – to pick their brains on inspiring female figures, their best advice and more.

The results are some quick less-than-a-minute clips, which we’ll be posting in articles over the next few days (or until we run out).

Our lucky first subjects are three leading ladies from News Corp. Meet Melissa Shedden (acting editor of whimn.com.au), Melissa Wilson (editor of kidspot.com.au) and Eliza Cracknell (editor of mybodyandsoul.com.au).
