The Australian Makes Two Senior Sales Appointments

The Australian has made two fresh appointments today, with general manager of sales Vaughan Cottier announcing the new senior staffers this morning.

Lisa Wells, former head of direct sales at Bauer Media, has been appointed to the role of deputy general manager of sales. Wells will start in her role on July 18.

Georgia Thomas, former national strategy director at Mamamia, has been named as the new head of strategy and partnerships. Thomas will start in her role in mid-September.

The pair brings to the team a combined 30+ years in the media industry with careers that have spanned numerous senior roles with media organisations such as Austereo and DMG along with the agency – Ikon Communications.

Cottier said, “I am delighted to appoint both Lisa and Georgia into their respective senior roles. They both have demonstrated exceptional sales and strategic skills across print and digital platforms.

“Their passion and experience in the industry make them an excellent addition to our team as we continue to implement our sales strategy for Australia’s largest premium national and business multi-platform portfolio.”

Both Wells and Thomas will report in to Cottier.
