Federal Govt Kicks Off Tender Process For Its Master Media Agency Contract

The federal government has taken the first step in choosing its future media agency/agencies, inviting those interested in the highly sought-after contract to provide feedback on the draft version.

A notice on the government’s AusTender website posted on Tuesday encouraged prospective media agencies “to provide feedback on the draft deed to be used as part of a potential approach to market to establish a single supplier arrangement” for its master media agency services contract before 10am on Friday 29 September (AEST).

The notice comes after the government revealed in July that it will invite media agencies to apply for the contract in the second quarter of the 2017-18 financial year.

Dentsu Mitchell has been handling the campaign-side of the contract since 2014, when it took over from UM.

The agency has also been responsible for all of the federal government’s non-campaign advertising after taking over from Adcorp in September last year.
