Pacific Magazines CEO Gereurd Roberts Elected Chairman Of Magazine Networks

Magazine Networks has announced the appointment of Pacific Magazines CEO Gereurd Roberts as the new chairman of its board.

Roberts takes over from Peter Zavecz, who has recently moved back to News Corp in Melbourne.

He has nearly two decades of publishing experience, including roles at Guardian News and Media and ACP Magazines (now Bauer Media).

Magazine Networks executive director Mary Ann Azer said she is very excited to be working with Roberts, “as he brings a wealth of experience in brand building and multi-platform ideas which is what magazine brands are all about”.

Commenting on his appointment, Roberts said it was a privilege to take on the new role.

“Our brands have more influence across more platforms than any other medium,” he said.

“I look forward to expanding the presence of Magazine Networks and to helping commercial partners exploit our brands’ personal and powerful connections with audiences across all consumer touchpoints.”
